Child Development & Care

Early Head Start (EHS) is a federally funded program for pregnant women and children birth to age three serving low-income families living in Payne, Lincoln, and Logan County. Early Head Start provides comprehensive services in the areas of education, health, mental health, nutrition, disabilities, and parent involvement. The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Child Care Program is operated and funded through Administration of Children and Families. Child Care offers services to children 6 weeks of age to 3rd grade. The program provides comprehensive services and promotes physical, cognitive, social and emotional development for children six weeks through 3rd grade with safe and nurturing practice. Children are also provided nutritious meals and snacks.

Education Programs

Health Services

Through the Tribal Health Department, we have established the Perkins Family Clinic in which we offer primary medical & health care to Native Americans. We also service to Non-Natives in our community and surrounding areas.

OSIIS

OSIIS collects and maintains accurate, complete, and current immunization records for Oklahomans of all ages (including patient demographics). Utilizing OSIIS is a quicker way to retrieve your immunization record versus requesting paper medical records.

Patient Portal

On the Patient Portal, you can securely request appointments, confirm appointments, update personal information, communicate with our staff, pay your bill, and more.

Wellness Center

The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Wellness Center is located at 501 East Highway 33. Members receive 24/7 access with key fob entry. The Wellness Center was recently updated and consists of a variety of cardio equipment, weight machines, full set of 5-100lb dumbbells, adjustable benches, and many other things to fit general fitness needs.

Indian Child Welfare

The mission of the Iowa Tribe ICW program is to increase the quality of life for tribal children and families through the provision of quality child/family services enhanced by cultural sensitivity and timely case management that focuses on the safety and well-being of tribal children. The program will serve enrolled children and families as well as children that are eligible for enrollment as defined by the tribe’s enrollment office. Additionally, the program will serve enrolled and eligible members locally and statewide.

Library

Our library belongs to our people. We strive to offer meaningful resources, materials, and help for literacy, education, employment, and wellness for the Iowa Tribe and its community. We are dedicated to providing materials, access, and resources for the literacy of our tribal community. Many of our resources are now available online.

Social Services

The Iowa Tribe of OK Social Services Department provides services in areas of child protection, adult protection, foster care homes, general assistance, and burial assistance.

Tribal Assistance Program (TAP)

The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma has established the Tribal Assistance Program to promote the general welfare of enrolled ITO Tribal Members in need of assistance who satisfy the program guidelines.

Victim Services

The Iowa Tribe Victim Services Unit serves individuals, regardless of ethnicity, who are a victim of a crime. Crimes include, but are not limited to, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, child abuse, identity theft, elder abuse/neglect, and homicide. Staff assist victims with safety planning, resources, advocacy, court accompaniment, relocation, counseling, and legal services.

Vocational Rehabilitation

The purpose of the Iowa Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation (ITOVR) is to provide services to American Indians with disabilities residing within the ITOVR designation following seven county area: Kay, Logan, Lincoln, Noble, Pawnee, Payne, and Pottawatomie. These services are consistent with individual strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, and most importantly, informed choice, so that American Indians with disabilities may prepare for and engage in gainful employment.
